The K2 Special Effects snowboard is a specialist in soft snow conditions while still maintaining excellent performance on groomers, hard pack, and long traverses.

Its unique nose design features 8mm of contour from heel to toe, allowing for effortless planning in deep snow and predictable turn initiation regardless of the snow or terrain. The contour also helps deflect snow and slush, reducing drag and acting as a plow at the tip of the board. To ensure strength and stability, the Special Effects utilizes the tri-wood blend Bambooyah™ Core wrapped with ICG™ 10 Carbon Fiberglass. This construction incorporates ten tip-to-tail carbon stringers, resulting in a strong, damp, and stable feel. The Volume Shift™ design philosophy allows for downsizing the board by 4-10cm from your usual board length, increasing manoeuvrability without sacrificing float. The Special Effects features a tough Sintered 4000 base that is fast, durable, and holds wax exceptionally well. Additionally, the Hybritech™ Sidewalls provide the most durable sidewall construction available, ensuring this pow-specific board remains in your quiver for years to come.
