The K2 Freeloader Splitboard is the ultimate backcountry companion, designed to elevate your climbing speed, enhance your descent capabilities, and take you deeper into the wilderness than ever before. It is the result of countless hours spent on the skin track, summiting peaks, and carving through powder.

Built on the same unisex outline as the Marauder Split, the Freeloader features a tapered tail that sinks effortlessly in deep snow, while the wider nose stays buoyant and plows through choppy terrain. The goal was to create a splitboard that is lightweight yet energetic, and this led to the development of the Paulownia TourLite core. This ultra-lightweight core is enveloped in triaxial braided fiberglass with ICG™ 20 technology, incorporating 20 tip-to-tail carbon fiber stringers. This combination adds pop to the board without unnecessary weight, providing excellent edge control and traversing on firm slopes, as well as enhanced snap and responsiveness during descents. The Freeloader boasts the Snophobic™ top sheet technology, which reduces snow build-up on the board's surface while climbing, allowing you to move faster and lighter. This lightweight design enables longer tours and more laps. To enhance the splitboard's performance and ease of use, Karakoram Ultra Clips have been added to the tip and tail. These clips allow the split skis to be compressed tightly, reducing the opening and closing force required. The UltraClip™ technology fully constrains the seam of the splitboard, eliminating seam rattling, shearing, and rolling, resulting in a solid snowboard-like feel. Completing the Freeloader is the Carbon Infused 5500 Sintered Base, the hardest and fastest-gliding base in the K2 collection. This base material retains wax for longer periods compared to traditional sintered bases, and the black color along the running surface enables seamless repairs.
